Searching For Brassett
How far back have we gone so far in our search for a connection, Over the past few week it seems that we have been making plenty of connection with each other that are within reach, finding people that are still alive is great but we must have a connection out there somewhere.
The Records that I have been sent show my section going back to John Brassett b 1696, I have a chart from Anji that shows a John Brassett b 1751. To me there is at least a generation gap.
Does anyone have anything around these dates that may connect the two section together.

Yvonne Marshall sent me the following email with regards to a web-site in Australia, she came up with the following information can any help
it is a site on shipping records ,free + online to trace families who were "un-assisted " in their passage to OZ.
http://www.pro.vic.gov.au/welcome.htm. If it is not responding, just type in up to au bit. It is easy to navigate too.I found only 1 Brassett on the list.
He was Andrew 19y old in May 1869. He sailed to Victoria on "Yorkshire" from a British port.
Don't know who he is but someone may be related. cheers Yvonne Marshall

Brassett's on the Net
Putting Brassett into the search box on Yahoo.Com came up with a surprise. I have done this before but this time I found something different among the hits that came up.
www.chez.com/jbrassett/index.htmlThis is the web-site for John Brassett, b 29th August 1952, The site is in French but there is a button to press that changes everything into English for us who did French at school for 4 years and does not remember a thing.
John has pictures and a biography on the site which goes through his musical history given details of the band he has been in and the Records they have recorded.
I suggest you take a look at the site it make's interesting reading.
Who is John connected to I cannot find him on anything I have ?

Visit to my Roots
Over the past week I have found another member of my section of the family. With help from Yvonne Whitington who supplied me with the names and then Sylvia Gorbell who name the contact I have spoken to Paul Brassett who is a close related half-cousin.

It not known how many children Herbert and Anne had but one was name after his father,
Herbert b 1882 married Laura Puddifood
Herbert and Anne had a daughter called Annie we have very little on Annie except that she had two children
Annie b
Herbert b 1917
Ivy b 1920
Herbert married Elsie and they had three children, it is not know what happened to Ivy

Roger b 1957
Trevor b 1959
Paul is married to Cherry, Roger is married to Tracy and they have 3 children Micheal, Kelly and Jade, Trevor is married to Betty and they have 2 children Alison and Richard,
All of the above come down from the marriage of Henry and Mary Ann Cook but after her death Henry married once again to Maria Drummond, They had 7 Children and I come do for that marriage.
Can anyone tell me how I am connected to Paul
Paul goes back through, Herbert, Annie, Herbert, Herbert, Henry

This puts Paul Roger and Trevor a generation below me even though they were all born before me Can someone tell me if we are Half- Cousins, or what ?

While talking to Paul Brassett, he told me that he had seen the web-site front page and he has the crest on a glass, This would further confirm that we have the correct crest on the web site that was originally given to me by Errol Brassett in New Zealand.
What I would like to through into the pot is something I have found elsewhere and have had trouble finding until today when I when back onto the net in search for it
